Apparently, I'm second rate
While putting Angelina to bed (normally Papa does this), she asks me "Mommy, do you want to stay 2 minutes, or 5 minutes?"
I say "5 minutes."
She responds, ever so sweetly "Mommy, I like you, but I like Papa best, so how about you stay 2 minutes?"
I confess I think it's the cutest thing ever. As a friend commented, it's great having a husband who's such a great father my daughter loves him so much. And besides, it gets me out of bed time duty.
Don't take it personally. When she's a teenager she won't like either one of you. ;-) When she's in her 20s you'll be one of her best friends.
